Corporate photo shoot

October 2023: Corporate photo shoots x 3 days. Great 3 day commission, based in London, within client’s offices. Each subject followed a mix of poses. I directed the subjects during their photo shoot, in order to capture the styles the client was after.

There were styles that needed formal and less formal expressions. Some shots with the subject looking at the camera and others looking off camera, where I introduced conversation (candid shots) in order to look like images that captured a non-posed moment.

Each set of subject images was saved into contact sheets for review and selection (2 preferred images). Then the shots where the subject is looking at the camera, are colour graded, cut out from background and placed on the client corporate background. Then added to the client’s intranet and market library.

Candid style images, where the subject is looking off camera, were taken. The selected image is converted to black and white and added to a bold flat colour. This is used for client marketing campaigns.

Finally, I would like to add that more than half of photos, where the subject is looking at the camera, could not show an overly happy expression – this was deliberate. The client brief outlined that due to the nature of their work, press releases / social media posts may contain sensitive news and an overly smiling expression may not be appropriate.
