‘Storytellers’ exhibition PV

December 2023: Storytellers Private View evening, The Beaney, Canterbury (December 2023 to February 2024).

Storytellers is a group exhibition that’s all about celebrating the connection between art and storytelling.

Through the works of 23 contemporary artists across various disciplines and from all walks of life, each bringing their own unique flair, Storytellers explores the idea that artworks convey narratives that spark emotions and discussions.

It’s not just art, it’s about the stories behind the art. The stories have amazing power: they can change how you see the world. It’s like an emotional roller-coaster.

The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to access narratives not only through written descriptions but also through audio files (using their mobile phones connected to Wi-Fi) where they will hear the artists themselves discuss their work. This lets you really get what the artists are all about and what stories they want to share.

The Private View was a well attended event, with very well presented collection of art. Having deeper levels to each piece, which is there to read, listen to or hear from the artists themselves.

A selection of my photos appeared in this month’s Kent Life magazine.
