Album launch gig
September 2026: The Hot Tin, Faversham
‘May Spring Last a Lifetime’ is the first duo release from improvising tenor saxophonists Tom Challenger and Evan Parker. The album emerged after years of informal practice sessions.
The venue positioned the musicians on the floor at the same level as the audience, which made for a more intimate gig. The venue and musicians leant themselves to a more moody style of photos. I converted a few images to black & white to give a timeless feel to the photography.
Special guest Caius Williams did a solo section at the beginning of the gig, it was great to be able to get interesting angles and close ups of the musicians. Caius also joined Tom Challenger and Evan Parker for the final part of the evening.
